Villa Vallecito is the source of Grenache Noir for our Rose program. Producers Ghee and Allan Hagedorn developed this property next to the New Melones Lake in 2002, and it is now their permanent home. Ghee’s family has been part of the wine industry for generations. Growing up around vineyards in Healdsburg, she knows how to meticulously manage the day to day winegrower needs and ensures only sustainable farming practices are implemented in the vineyard. The climate in the region resembles that of the south of France, which has proven excellent for growing Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre, Cinsault and Carignan. The landscape and proximity to the water provides a cooling breeze during hot summers, allowing grapes to retain delicate aromas and elegance.
